Hiring in Switzerland is highly regulated, and WorkMotion has everything in place to keep your setup compliant. We hold both required licences, the canton of Zurich licence and the SECO licence for international leasing. A qualified local director oversees our Swiss operations, so every part of the employment setup follows Swiss law. It gives you a clean, compliant and reliable way to hire in Switzerland without dealing with the legal complexity yourself.

VERSION 2: MEDIUM (Standard Conversation)

Pillars: Compliance, Trust, Transparency

Switzerland has some of the most regulated employment laws in Europe, which is why choosing a compliant partner is essential. WorkMotion is one of the few providers that holds both required licences: the canton of Zurich authorisation and the SECO licence for international leasing. These licences are not formalities. They demonstrate that our Swiss operations meet the legal standards for staff leasing and that we are authorised to employ talent on behalf of international clients.

Our local Swiss director oversees the entire operation and works closely with our compliance teams to ensure all contracts, leasing agreements and invoicing follow Swiss law precisely. By working with us, you avoid the risks associated with unlicensed models and gain a fully compliant, professionally managed solution for hiring in Switzerland.

VERSION 3: LONG (Full Narrative)

Pillars: Compliance, Transparency, Trust

Hiring talent in Switzerland needs to be approached carefully because the regulations are strict and closely monitored. WorkMotion has put the full compliance foundation in place so you do not need to manage that burden yourself.

We hold both licences required to operate legally in Switzerland, the canton of Zurich licence and the SECO licence for international staff leasing. These licences allow us to employ talent on your behalf in a way that fully aligns with Swiss law. We also have a qualified local director who oversees our Swiss operations to ensure every step, from contracts to invoicing, is handled correctly.

The process itself is straightforward once the structure is in place. You start by reviewing and accepting our Swiss Terms and Conditions, which apply to your first hire and any future hires in Switzerland. Before onboarding a new talent, you sign a Deployment Agreement that includes the key employment details and is completed with a Qualified Electronic Signature. We also check work and residency prerequisites for foreign nationals living in Switzerland.

Once the talent signs their contract, you receive invoices from WorkMotion Switzerland GmbH for the deposit, Payroll Funding Invoices and Settlement Invoices. All payments are made to our Swiss bank account, which is part of the legal requirement for operating compliantly in Switzerland.

The result is a clean, compliant and predictable setup. You get local expertise, the correct licensing and full clarity at each stage, so you can hire confidently and give your talent a smooth experience.

Process to Hire Talents in Switzerland

Great to hear you’re looking to hire talent in Switzerland! The process is straightforward, but there are a few key steps to ensure everything runs smoothly and complies with Swiss regulations.

Here's how it works:

  1. Terms & Conditions (T&Cs): Before any hiring, you'll need to review and accept our Swiss T&Cs. These will apply to your first hire and all future hires in Switzerland.

  2. Deployment Agreement (DA): Before onboarding a new talent, you’ll sign a DA specific to them. This agreement includes details like the start date and remuneration. A Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) is required for this step. We will then verify that conditions are met to start the employment. In particular, for foreigners living in Switzerland we will ensure that all prerequisites are in place.

  3. Invoices: Once the talent has signed their contract and is fully onboarded, you’ll receive invoices from WorkMotion Switzerland GmbH for the initial security deposit, Payroll Funding Invoices (PFI), and Settlement Invoices (SI). Payments are made to our Swiss bank account, ensuring compliance.

We’re here to support you every step of the way, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for both you and your new talent!
