Context

When an exception can be made in offering company cars.

Talk Track

VERSION 1: SHORT

Pillars: Compliance, Transparency

An exception can only be considered in very limited cases where the country setup allows it. Each request goes through an internal compliance and risk review, and if approved, WorkMotion would only administer payroll, with the client bearing all the associated risks.

VERSION 2: MEDIUM

Pillars: Compliance, Trust, Transparency

Exceptions for company cars are rare and only explored where the country is assessed as potentially feasible. This is not a standard service and must go through a formal internal review, where compliance risk, including permanent establishment exposure, and operational feasibility are carefully evaluated. If approved, WorkMotion would only administer payroll, not provide legal or tax advice, and the client would bear the associated risks.

VERSION 3: LONG

Pillars: Compliance, Trust, Transparency

That is an important question, especially if this is a key requirement for your setup. While company cars are not part of our standard offering, there are very limited cases where we can explore an exception.

This starts with assessing whether the country itself allows for a compliant structure, as in many locations this is not feasible due to legal, tax, and permanent establishment risks. If there is a potential path, the case is then reviewed internally by our Payroll, Sales, and Operations leadership teams.

The focus of this review is to ensure that any approach can be delivered compliantly, that the operational model is workable, and that risks are clearly understood. Where an exception is approved, it is important to note that WorkMotion would only administer the payroll treatment of the benefit. We do not provide legal or tax advice in this setup, and the client retains full responsibility for the structure and associated risks.

The key point is that exceptions are not standard, are highly country-dependent, and always require careful validation before any commitment can be made.
