The Nicaraguan Social Security Institute (INSS) is the entity responsible for administering the social security system in Nicaragua. 

Employees may be asked to provide an INSS stub or certificate to verify their contribution history to the social security system, their affiliation with a health program, or for employment purposes, as part of the requirements to access certain benefits or services. 

Also this document could be requested when employees are trying to request a bank credit, this is the method banks use to proof the employees income. The partner provider do not share these routinely but will supply one on demand.
