Codes of Practice are sets of written rules which define how persons or bodies must act in given situations.
Under the Industrial Relations Acts, the former Labour Relations Commission (LRC) drafted a number of such codes of practice governing behaviour within the industrial relations and employment sphere. With the enactment of the Workplace Relations Act 2015, the function of drafting such Codes of Practice has now transferred to the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC).
