Activity Account

What the Portage Collective Bargaining Agreement (=CBA) says
  • "The Portage company (=This is WM FR II.) sets up and manages an activity account for each employee.

  • The employee is informed once a month of the items charged to this account, and in particular:

    • Any payment made by the client company to the umbrella company for the performance of its service;

    • The details of management fees;

    • Professional expenses;

    • Social and tax deductions;

    • Net remuneration;

    • The amount of the business contribution allowance."

So, what is an Activity Account in practice?
  • The Activity Account is an online tool that allows Portage EEs to view all their remuneration-related transactions: daily rates, management fees, taxes & contributions, financial savings, etc.

How does it work?
  • Basically, the Portage EE entrusts WM with the administrative and accounting management of its Portage activities and missions. WM receives the EE's turnover from the Client and converts it into "salary" after deducting taxes, social contributions, and the so-called Management Fees.

  • Although the accounting part of the activity is managed by WM, the EE must still be able to track the expenses related to their activity. This is where the Activity Account comes in by transcribing all the accounting operations related to the EE's turnover. This allows EEs to know the amounts they pay and possibly to better manage their turnover by optimising their remuneration.

Good to know
  • The activity account should not be confused with the Activity Report (=Timesheet), which allows WM to monitor the missions carried out in the current month.
