Sharing the EC with the Client before Talent has signed
Some of our prospects and clients would like to know whether we will share the Employment Contract (EC) with them before sharing and signing it with the Talent, so they can approve it in advance.
The standard process is that we don't share the EC with the client; instead, we proceed directly to sign it with the Talent. However, the client will have access to the signed EC in the employee profile on the platform under "Documents".
Why do we do so?
WorkMotion issues standardised, locally compliant employment contracts that have been thoroughly revised by our legal team and already include features typically important to our clients, such as IPR Transfer and Data Protection. Also, at WorkMotion, we can deliver the best and fastest service by focusing on our core offering and having as many ideal/standard EOR cases as possible. Sharing the employment contract with the client upfront might invite them to ask for extensive changes or amendments, which our partners and we are trying to avoid. Changes to the employment contract will lead to a longer contract turnaround time (CTT), which might result in having to move the Talent's start date, and in extreme cases to additional costs that will need to be covered by the client.
